Kindergarten teachers Diane Hall and our own Emily McNeff, at McKay Elementary School in the Beaverton School District, collaborated with Teaching Preschool Partners in 2021 implementing a “Storytelling Superpowers” initiative. This innovative teaching framework, inspired by Story Workshop—a curriculum structure developed at Opal Charter School in Portland Public Schools—empowers young students to construct and share their own imaginative and real-life narratives and texts using interactive learning methods.
